Story
On Sunday 26th April 2026, I am one of a team of 4 runners taking part in the TCS London Marathon, raising money for Cardiff & Vale Health Charity.
Through working in the NHS as a Physiotherapy Technical Instructor previously in Neurorehabilitation and now in Adult Mental Health, I understand the importance of Cardiff and Vale Health Board and the amazing work we do when it comes to rehabilitation. I also have personal experience of the NHS through having ACL reconstruction in June 2024.
As a result of this, through running the marathon for Cardiff & Vale Health Charity, I hope I can continue to improve the service we provide and continue to have a positive impact on the people we see each day. It's also my hope to raise awareness of the positive effect exercise can have on mental health which is a key part of the service we provide in adult mental health.
Finally, on a more personal level, I hope I can also raise awareness of stammering and show people that have a stammer you're capable of overcoming obstacles by running the marathon.
Any donation big or small would be greatly appreciated to meet (hopefully exceed!) my target of £2500.
