Story
On Sunday 15th March I will be running the Liverpool half marathon and Sunday 19th April I will be running the Manchester marathon in memory of Charlie Allen to raise money for his foundation. Below I have shared Charlie's story from the foundations page and I have linked the social media accounts that you can all follow and support. The sub goal is set at £1000, but the main goal is to raise as much money as possible for this amazing foundation that has been created by his family.
On the 19th of June 2023 our world changed forever when Charlie, aged 22, lost his life to a very rare form of cancer Burkitt's Lymphoma in the space of 3 weeks. Many of you will know that Charlie was initially diagnosed and successfully treated at the age of 4. For this to come back after 18 years is unheard of, but it happened, and our lives will never be the same.
How can you help us?
Across Merseyside 104 people are diagnosed with Blood Cancer every month, many are successfully treated but some like Charlie are not, and we want to help change this. We are working with Merseyside Against Blood Cancer - The Bloom Appeal to raise £50,000 for a specific project to help this happen.
