Story

Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for Wishes 4 Kids

I’m doing something that truly scares me — I’m climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.

Not because it’s easy. Not because it’s comfortable. But because for a long time, I’ve felt like I’ve lacked real purpose. I’ve felt stuck, drifting, and in need of something that pushes me beyond my limits — physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Climbing Kilimanjaro is completely outside of my comfort zone. It’s going to test me in ways I’ve never been tested before. Early mornings, extreme altitude, exhaustion, self-doubt. But that’s exactly why I’m doing it.

I want to prove to myself that I can do hard things.

And more importantly, I want to do it for a reason bigger than me.

I’m fundraising for Wishes 4 Kids, a local Leicestershire charity that grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses, have experienced life-changing physical or emotional traumas and have suffered major abuse. These children face challenges every single day that most of us can’t even begin to imagine. While I’m choosing to take on this mountain, they are climbing their own battles — ones they never asked for.

Wishes 4 Kids brings light into some of the darkest times. They create moments of joy, hope and unforgettable memories for children and their families when they need it most. That’s something truly special.

If pushing myself up Africa’s highest mountain can help raise money to give even one child a moment of happiness, then every step, every blister, every breathless climb will be worth it.

If you can, please consider donating. Every single contribution — no matter how small — makes a difference. Even if you could share this page to as many people as possible, it all helps!

Thank you for supporting me, supporting this challenge, and most importantly, supporting these incredible children.

Let’s do something meaningful together.
