My name is Joe, and for the last year I've worked for Valleys Kids, a charity based in the South Wales Valleys.

Over the last 40 years, Valleys Kids have worked throughout Rhondda Cynon Taf, engaging and inspiring children, young people and adults to improve their sense of self and their quality of life.

With the Cost of Living Crisis, Valleys Kids has seen as great a demand in its services than ever before.

On May 1st 2023, I intend to start a trek, from Rhosneigr in North Wales, to the Rhydyfelin Community Centre run by Valleys Kids in the South - around 167 miles in total.

I'm doing this to raise money for Valleys Kids, so that we're better able to provide necessary services to our communities in these difficult times.

If people are able to donate, the money raised would go to helping build on the amazing projects Valleys Kids are running: from youth clubs, to free food events, to warm spaces, to support groups across the Rhondda.
