I am running the Yorkshire Marathon, on 20th October, in memory of my late brother Dave. Gone too soon and so greatly missed.

Dave worked at Winson Green prison in Birmingham. He was passionate about prisoner rehabilitation, giving people an opportunity to look forward and better their lives through education and opportunity. I am taking part in the Marathon to raise money for ‘Clink’ a charity that works to train and educate people in prison, before their release. The charity focuses on the skills of catering and horticulture, creating opportunities to work towards an NVQ, as well as helping to secure accommodation. The work they do offers people who have been in prison a real opportunity to better themselves, return to a community and turn their lives around.

Losing Dave has left a hole in our hearts that will never be filled, but by doing something positive in his memory, and for a cause that he would have so endorsed, I hope to bring a little light to what has been an unimaginable year. I know Dave would have fully supported the cause and so please do donate if you can or are able.
