With my daughter Florence (and my runningmate Roger ahead of us) I will run the New Forest half marathon. In our team there are some walkers as well.

In the New Forest there is a very active group of people ‘New Forest for Ukraine’ that regularly sends humanitarian aid by truck to people in need in the Ukraine. We would like to run in support of this charity. €50 buys fifty tins of soup, €100 buys four camping stoves and €300 buys a generator. Much good can be done in this simple way. This also serves to express our solidarity. Russia has been condemned by international courts for this illegal war. It is also in our own interest and particularly our own freedom, that Russia cannot win.

We hope that our endurance race in this way will support the endurance and tenacity of the Ukrainian people.
