Het lopen van een marathon blijft een uitdaging waarmee je de grenzen van je fysieke en mentale uithoudingsvermogen opzoekt. Het is een soort test van vastberadenheid, doorzettingsvermogen en veerkracht. Deze persoonlijke uitdaging zet ik graag om in iets dat een positieve impact kan hebben op het leven van anderen. Dat is precies waarom ik heb besloten om geld in te zamelen voor Links met het lopen van de marathon van Londen.

Waarom Links?

Links is een mooie organisatie die fantastisch werk doet. Hun missie is het creëren van blijvende verandering in een aantal van 's werelds meest kwetsbare gemeenschappen. Ze werken hard om de toegang tot gezondheidszorg, onderwijs, schoon water en economische kansen te verbeteren voor degenen die dat het meest nodig hebben. Links biedt niet alleen tijdelijke hulp; ze stellen gemeenschappen in staat om een duurzame toekomst voor zichzelf op te bouwen. Ik ben met Links in contact gekomen via Inge van Bijnen, een hardloopvriendin die helaas in 2022 is overleden. Een dubbele motivatie om de marathon van Londen voor Links te lopen.

Running a marathon remains a challenge with which you push the limits of your physical and mental endurance. It is a kind of test of determination, perseverance and resilience. I like to turn this personal challenge into something that can have a positive impact on the lives of others. That is exactly why I decided to raise money for Links by running the London Marathon.
