It is with great sadness the family have announced the passing of Jackie Sims on September 10th after a long illness. Jackie was a founder member of the Hospice and formed the Wotton Support Group in 1988, which went on to raise over £450,000. In addition to her fundraising, she was an active member of the Wotton community and was awarded an MBE in 2002 in recognition of her services to the local community. A Celebration Service will be held on 9th October at 1230 at St Mary’s Church, Wotton. All are welcome at the church and the family have requested no black - the service is to celebrate her life and will be filled with music, colour and memories. If you would like to make a donation in Jackie’s memory, the family have chosen to support Longfield, a Charity very close to Jackie’s heart and Dementia Uk. This Just Giving page has been set up to for Longfield Hospice.
