The Chiltern Centre provides bespoke, individualised care to young people with learning disabilities. It gives them opportunities to socialise, learn new skill, move towards greater independence and have fun. All the while it provides their families with a much needed break from their caring role.

Story

The Chiltern Centre is a small charity in Henley-on-Thames that makes a real difference to the lives of young people with disabilities.

For the past 20 years the centre has been providing a range of services empowering young people to learn new skills, build confidence and make friends, whilst giving their families time to recharge and reset.

What they do is truly important and is often the case with small charities, they just don't have enough funds to do all the work they could.

I wanted to help, so at Workbooks we are supporting the charity and 13 of us are going to climb the highest mountain in the Atlas Mountains to support the Chiltern Centre.

The trek is no walk in the park, its three solid days of walking and we will climb 4,167m to the top - which is pretty high!

There are a few beautiful stories on their website which encapsulates the wonderful work the team do at the Chiltern Centre: https://www.chilterncentre.org.uk/

It would be great if you could support our fundraising efforts and make a difference to disabled people's lives.
