Story

Who says that men can't multitask????

Well, I am doing a sponsored multitask!!

****DRUM ROLL PLEASE ******

From Friday 7th - Sunday 9th July I will attempt to cycle from Exeter to the Durham Ox while SIMULTANEOUSLY photographing the event for the charity.

The route looks like this:

Day 1: Exeter, Sidmouth, Axminster, Crewkerne, Street.

Distance 66 miles – Elevation 1171 meters (3,840ft)

Day 2 Street, Wells, Mendip Hills, Tetbury, Cheltenham.

Distance 75 miles – Elevation 1025 meters (3,362ft)

Day 3 Cheltenham, Winchcombe, Snowshill, Stratford on Avon, Durham Ox.

Distance 42 miles – Elevation 647 meters (2,122ft)

Why would I attempt such a feat?

Well, Molly Ollys does sterling work supporting children with life-threatening illnesses and their families to help with their emotional well-being. They provide gifts to individuals and donate therapeutic toys and books to both children directly and to hospitals throughout the UK. They are professional and personal and never forget that those we help are going through extremely challenging times. They always strive to be empathetic and compassionate.

They give gifts to children who have life-threatening illnesses to provide emotional support and help make their dark days brighter. Children and families can apply to them for something that they wish to have to support their journey. They have also developed a therapeutic toy lion Olly The Brave and a series of six story books about Olly’s experiences including diagnosis and treatment. They donate these to both children directly and to hospitals throughout the UK. In addition, they hold support events for families of children with serious illnesses and carry out bespoke projects working with the NHS.

They work with every child and family individually to ensure that the support they provide, whether it be a wish or giving Olly The Brave and his story books, is appropriate to their situation. Their own experience helps them empathise and they understand that those they help are going through extremely challenging times. They are always striving to help as many as possible, and to find new ways that they can make the dark days a little brighter for these children and their families.

Any donation to Molly Ollys, large or small is much appreciated and will be used to provide help children with life-threatening illnesses. Together we can help enhance the lives of these very brave and treasured children, and make their dark days brighter.
