Story
My Dad died 10 years ago following on from more than ten years battling Parkinson's.
I've seen first hand the horrible effects of this disease on my Dad, all of us who supported him (especially my Mum who was effectively a 24 hour carer for the last few years) and others who have suffered.
Parkinson's is one of the fastest growing neurological conditions in the world. In the UK today, someone is diagnosed with Parkinson's every 20 minutes, and around 166,000 people are living with the condition.
I want to honour my Dad's memory and do as much as I can to find a cure for Parkinson's. As such I'm honoured to be taking part in the 2026 TCS London Marathon for Cure Parkinson's because they are here to find a cure to stop this disease.
Anything you can give will go straight to Cure Parkinson's to help fund their vital work and will be hugely appreciated by them, by me and everyone in the Parkinson's community.
Many thanks - got to apply the anti-chafing cream and get my trainers on now.......
