We fund research to stop prostate cancer killing men

Story

A couple of my dear friends have prostate cancer. And I'm of an age too where prostate management is now very much on my radar.

I've auditioned and am delighted to have been chosen to sing with Nottinghamshire's Men United in Song - a newly formed all-male choir to rehearse and practice over the next nine weeks. We're all different ages and backgrounds and not choir singers. The end goal is to perform live on Friday 10th May at Southwell Minster in front of an audience of family, friends and supporters at a charity concert for Prostate Cancer Uk.

We're trying to raise as much money as we can for this important charity, so if you can, please give generously. The commitment is massive: this isn't turning up, couple of alcoholic drinks and grabbing the microphone to do a turn. This is sheet music. 7 songs. I'm Bass 2.

If can, come along and support me on the big day. Two concerts: first at Southwell on 10th May, then joining 4 other choirs at Nottingham Albert Hall on Saturday May 25th. Lots of learning. Lots of stress. Lots of singing.

Thank you for reading.

Lots of love, John xx
