Story
I am organising this year’s staff charity match in memory of Shannon Craig, my beautiful daughter, who tragically passed away on the 1st of January just over two years ago. Our lives changed forever that day and we now want to help change other peoples lives for the better.
This year proceeds raised from ‘Play on the Pitch’ will support two wonderful organisations which are very meaningful to me and my family.
In Shannon’s honour, the funds raised will support two wonderful charities close to her heart and ours – Celtic FC Foundation and The Invisibles.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Club’s charitable arm, Celtic FC Foundation, to support the Ability Counts project and the Foundation’s Holiday Home. These projects provide support for vulnerable children and young people. Having lost a child myself, I feel it is really important to provide support for all children in our community regardless of their circumstances or background.
In addition, a donation will be made to The Invisibles, which is a Glasgow-based voluntary organisation which aims to provide comfort to those living on the city’s streets, through practical support – by providing a variety of essential items such as sleeping bags, clothing, footwear and toiletries.
Thank you for your donation and helping to change the lives of children and young people who are our future.
