On 13th Sept 2024 I will be taking part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge with a group of colleagues from work to raise money for Become. The continuous hike is for 24-miles and climbing 1585m of elevation. We are hoping to complete this in 10 hours and I would be very grateful for any donation possible. Many of you will laugh to know that I am the oldest member of the group but I am committed to completing it in just as good a time as the youngsters who are walking not running !

Become is a great charity that supports children in care and young care leavers that are looking to find their way in the world. There are more children in care than ever before and too many children are being placed far from home and in settings that don't meet their needs. Often they are expected to leave care before they feel ready. Become seeks to change this and has a vision of a better care system, one that ensures that all care experience people have the same chances as everyone else to live happy, fulfilled lives.
