We are a small yet phenomenal charity making a big impact. We provide training & resources for Christians/churches to end domestic abuse. We advocate with the government & at the UN to include faith in the response to domestic abuse. We published a Handbook for Female Christian Survivors of DA

Story

Many thanks to everyone who sponsored me.

I finished in 1:37:08, and was glad to have helped raise money for Restored. Afterwards I found a stream to have an ice bath in before heading home.

Restored's mission is to speak up about violence against women and girls, and to equip the Church to stand against domestic abuse and support survivors. It is said that in the UK, 1 in 4 women will be subjected to domestic abuse.

One of the key characteristics of domestic abuse is isolation. Restored runs a Survivors' Network which supports over 400 women, creating a safe space for them and providing them with a community that lets them know they're not alone.

The charity is also establishing a network of 'Restored Beacons', which are churches committed to standing against domestic abuse, shining a light in the darkness, and providing a place of safety and welcome for survivors in their communities.

I have become more aware of these issues both through work I am involved in within the NHS and also through through learning more about the work of Women's aid, which my daughter works for in a policy role.

Please will you support me in supporting this charity as I run around Lake Vyrnwy?
