Irene, Craig and Lindsey are fundraising in memory of their husband and father John Duncan for Breakthrough Type1D, the leading Type 1 Diabetes research and advocacy organisation.

John was devastated when his beloved grandson Duncan was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes 3 years ago at the age of 9. Type 1 diabetes is a serious autoimmune condition that occurs when your immune system attacks cells in the pancreas which then stop producing the insulin that is required to manage blood glucose levels.

There is currently no cure for this challenging life-long condition, and management of it is unrelenting.

Breakthrough T1D are a global charity working towards a cure for Type 1 whilst raising awareness of the condition meantime.

John would be proud to help fund any research into this condition
