Story
On Saturday 5th September, I’ll be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for Pendleside Hospice, alongside supporters of nine other hospices across Lancashire and South Cumbria.
In a single day, I’ll be climbing Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough – covering 24 miles with over 5,200 feet of ascent. It’s going to be a tough challenge, but one that’s absolutely worth it.
My goal is to raise £10 for every mile I walk.
Pendleside Hospice provides incredible care and support to local families during some of the most difficult times of their lives. Their compassion meant so much to our family when they cared for my father-in-law, Alan, and this challenge is my way of giving something back.
Normally, my superstar wife, Jo, takes on our annual Pendleside challenge with me, but this year I’ll be flying solo, making the day even more of a test!
If you’re able to spare anything at all, I’d be hugely grateful. Every donation, no matter the size, will help Pendleside continue their amazing work. I’ll take on the miles, the climbs and the blisters – you just have to cheer me on! (Please!)
Thank you so much for your support, John.
