My name is John Elsey and I am immensely proud and honored to be selected as: BAFFA 2027 Nepal - Team Leader

(Travelling to Nepal January 2027 to finalise the building work, clear the site, decorate and then hand over at the opening ceremony 😁)

Having been on the BAFFA Steering Committee now for over 10 years, I have been involved in the past 5 projects including Nepal as a Volunteer in 2016 and experienced first hand what a Massive Difference we make with these educational projects... Awe Inspiring is an understatement!

BAFFA Nepal 2027

A group of 13 colleagues from across the AkzoNobel / Dulux business including myself, have come together to rebuild a dilapidated four-block classroom building in Rural Nepal (Chitwan) with a view to increasing student enrolment and reduce drop out rates.

Currently children from Play Group Grd5 (175 Students)

This will ensure a more accessible and supportive learning environment and expanding the schools capacity to Grade 8 within 3 years.

This project will aid the educational opportunities for the children in this rural region of Nepal and give them the opportunities some of us take for granted.

*Currently the school is subjected to very poor conditions including leaking roofs, mud floors, damp, mold and cramped conditions.
