Story
I'm running the Bath Half in October for RUHX, the official NHS charity of the Royal United Hospitals Bath.
RUHX are raising funds now to support our research group's work investigating the impact of a cutting edge rehab intervention for patients with heart disease - Super Rehab.
Sadly, cardiovascular disease still causes over a quarter of all deaths per year, ending lives too soon and having a negative impact on quality of life for many more. Research has been heavily focused on finding new medications, procedures and devices to address this.
We're working in tandem with researchers at the University of Bath to uncover how a novel lifestyle intervention, Super Rehab, could become an effective treatment option within the NHS, saving lives, reducing procedures and costs for our health service.

RUHX not only do incredible work raising money to give every patient the care they deserve, they support RUH staff in bringing innovations to improve our hospital. From raising the funds to build the new cancer centre to the acquiring the latest in robotic surgery technology - RUHX put improving the care for patients in and around Bath front and centre.
Any support to this fantastic cause would be amazing for the charity and extra motivation for me as the race day approaches!
