Team Kingsford 2026: A Year of Challenges for Nepal’s Children

Story

What started as one person’s daft idea has officially turned into a year-long team mission. Across 2026, the Kingsford Wealth Management team is taking on a list of challenges that has grown impressively (and slightly worryingly) long, all to raise funds for Supporting Nepal’s Children.

We’re putting in the miles, the metres, the freefall and the breaststroke. We’d love your help getting to our £20,000 target.

The Challenges

The team has piled in in a big way. Here’s what we’re tackling between us:

• The Three Peaks (and then some): Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis (twice!) and Snowdon (twice!)

• The Big Drop: a high-altitude skydive

• On the road and in the water: an 80-mile bike ride and a dedicated distance swim

• The Manchester 10k: running through the heart of the city

• Everest Base Camp: my own contribution, trekking to EBC on 23 October 2026. Twelve days at altitude, cold nights, the occasional hole in the ground for a toilet, and (I’m reliably told) a view at the end that makes it all worthwhile.

Meet the Team

A massive thank you to the Kingsford crew for stepping up alongside me:

Myself, David, James, Tash, Leanne, Di, Mel, Catherine, Louise, Andy, Kate and Jon.

A special shout-out goes to Flo and Cam, who have been the engine room of this entire operation; organising the logistics, the people, and somehow making sure we all actually show up at the right start line.

Why We’re Doing This: Supporting Nepal’s Children

SNC’s mission has evolved alongside the communities they serve. Their original focus was the vital task of rebuilding and restocking schools after the earthquake. Today, they’ve shifted their gaze toward long-term sustainability and independence, building and funding vocational centres for young adults.

In a country where the average income is around US$2 a day and opportunities are scarce, these centres are life-changing. They give young people a specific trade, the chance to earn a living with dignity, and the ability to build a future in their own country.

SNC has already built two vocational schools, with over 1,400 graduates now in stable employment. The funds we raise this year will help double that capacity, giving thousands more young people a real pathway out of poverty.

Your support will help provide:

• Classrooms and workshop buildings

• Sewing machines, wood-turning lathes and other essential equipment

• Training spaces where students can develop real, employable skills

We aren’t just helping to build walls; we’re helping to build careers and lasting stability.

How You Can Help

We’re doing the climbing, the cycling, the swimming, the jumping and the trekking. All we ask is that you help us hit the target.

Plus, every pound raised by fundraisers connected to St. James’s Place will be matched by the business and used to support Jamie’s Farm, a UK charity offering residential farm visits to vulnerable young people. So your donation does double duty.

Thank you, truly, for being part of this.
