Story
Hi 👋
On Sunday 8th February, I’m running the Rochford Half Marathon for Essex based charity, T.I.M.E (Together in Musical Expression).
Let’s be absolutely clear:
- I am not a runner.
- I started training in August.
- I still hate it.
Deeply.
I’ve spent months documenting just how much running sucks on Instagram, and instead of stopping, I’ve somehow escalated things by signing up to run 13.1 miles. Stupid John. Stupid.
The good bit: T.I.M.E does genuinely brilliant work using music to bring people together, build confidence, and create a sense of belonging.
You can learn more about them here 👉https://www.timemusiccharity.com/
If my unnecessary suffering can help fund that, then fine. I’ll do it. But running still sucks.
I’m aiming to raise £500. Please donate if you can... not because I enjoy this, but precisely because I don’t.
Every pound gets me one step closer to the finish line and one step further away from ever doing this again.
Thank you. I’m sorry. And see you on the other side.
Much love,
John
