John's fundraiser for St Luke's Hospice Plymouth

John Hawkins is raising money for St Luke's Hospice Plymouth
In memory of Laura Sharp

A month of 10k runs · 17 May 2026

Fun run, 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, Full Marathon, Ultra Marathon, Iron Man? Whatever the distance, where ever you choose to run, We would be delighted if you chose to represent St Luke's and help raise vital patient care funds.

Story

I am undertaking the challenge of running 10k a day for a month in memory of my Aunty Laura. Laura lived with MS for many years and was cared for compassionately by St. Luke's staff in the final weeks of her life.

Starting off with the Run Plymouth 10k I am aiming to then run 10k a day for a month. For context, that's a total distance roughly the same as that between Plymouth and Birmingham.

Before her illness, Laura was a keen runner and this challenge is a way to honour her memory, alongside raising awareness and hopefully some funds for St. Luke's.

At home, as in hospital or at the specialist unit based in Turnchapel, the money raised will help St Luke's to continue to provide specialist care for patients and support for their families in the local community.

Thank You, for your kind support.
