Story
On Wednesday 24th July Anne and me are embarking on another big bike ride for charity. This time it’s the classic journey from Land’s End, the most south westerly tip of England, to John o Groats, the most north easterly tip of Scotland! Known as the ‘End to End’ or ‘LEJOG’ it’s a big challenge at 50 hilly miles per day and we are doing it unsupported on our tandem bike. Most importantly, we’ll be raising funds before and during the journey for the well-known charity, BBC’s Children in Need Appeal.
BBC Children in Need Appeal happens every year on the third Friday of November and this year, it will fall on 15 November 2024. BBC Children in Need is the BBC’s charity. Its mission is to help ensure every child in the UK is happy, safe, secure, and has the opportunities they need to reach their potential. Funds from the appeal go to charities and projects that help remove the barriers preventing children and young people from thriving. BBC Children in Need supports children and young people affected by several disadvantages such as poverty, distress, disability, illness, or trauma.
