Story

UPDATE: Yesterday 27 July, Dad had all of his hair shaved off and here are some before and after pictures to show the transformation. He's raised a great amount but there is still chance to support him if you'd like to make a donation in memory of Craig.

Thank you

In November 2022 we lost my wonderful husband, Craig Forster-Kirkham, to cancer. He'd been ill for a while but I had no idea that we'd lose him quite so suddenly. There isn't a day goes by that I don't think of him. But I'm certainly not the only one to love him and to miss him.

I know I often think of my Dad as a little daft but he is a lovely, caring man who also had a huge soft spot for his son-in-law Craig.

When Craig died, Dad decided to start growing his hair so that he could later have it shorn to raise a few pounds to help keep Craig's memory alive.

Also, when Craig died, we donated some of the money given in his memory to a very special charity, Plushealth, with whom I'd been working. I stepped away from them for a while to care for Craig and to recover a little. But I'm proud to have returned to Plushealth as Patron. The charity set the money donated to one side to create a hardship fund, for those struggling, in Craig's memory and Dad is now having his head shaved to raise more for them

So thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Please support Dad and remember Craig by donating a little in his memory if you can.

There's a picture of Dad I took a couple of months ago - it's even longer now. I'll add before and after pictures when he visits the lovely Warren on 27 July to have it chopped.
