John's fundraiser for Headway Lincolnshire

John Knight is raising money for Headway Lincolnshire

Lincs C2C2C · 25 June 2026 ·

Headway Lincolnshire is a registered charity, providing a range of individualised support and development services for brain injury survivors and their families and carers; to help people come to terms with life after brain injury. We provide outreach services across the County.

Story

My youngest son suffered a brain injury when he was just 9 years old, and now at 21, he recently experienced an incredible weekend with other brain injury survivors at the Clavert Trust in the beautiful Lake District. As a Trustee of Headway Lincolnshire and a father to someone living with a brain injury, this weekend really opened my eyes to the power of these trips — they are not only inspiring but life-changing.

The support and camaraderie shared during these weekends provide hope, strength, and unforgettable memories for survivors and their families. However, opportunities like this depend on continued funding and community support to make them possible.

That’s why I am participating in the Lincs C2C2C cycling event on 25 June 2026 to raise funds for Headway Lincolnshire. My goal is to raise £1,000 to contribute to more weekends like the one my son enjoyed — weekends that foster healing, friendship, and optimism for the future.

Please join me in supporting this vital cause. Any contribution will help ensure that more survivors can experience these transformative moments. Working with Headway Lincolnshire, we can make a real difference — creating hope and new memories for those affected by brain injury.

Now it's time I got some training in...
