Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On April 26th, I’ll be running the London Marathon to support the work of the MS Society.
My eldest brother Chris was diagnosed with secondary progressive MS two years ago. Multiple Sclerosis is a neurological condition where the immune system attacks the protective covering of nerves, disrupting messages between the brain and the body. It’s unpredictable, degenerative, and currently has no cure.
Since his diagnosis, he’s deteriorated at an alarming rate. He now needs a stick to walk. Tasks most of us wouldn’t think twice about, even something as simple as cutting an onion, have become difficult and frustrating for him.
I don’t know what else to do to help. So this is my way of supporting my brother; by raising awareness and funds for the MS Society.
Since turning 40 last July, I’ve made it my mission to raise as much as I can. Last year I jumped out of a plane at 15,000ft, raising just over £2,000. This year I’m entering the world of endurance sport.
Next weekend I’ll start with the Paris Half Marathon.
On April 26th I’ll run the London Marathon, where I’ve committed to raising £2,500.
And in September I’ll finish the year with an Ironman 70.3 in Weymouth.
The MS Society funds research into better treatments, supports people living with MS today, and helps drive forward clinical trials that could genuinely change what the future looks like for people like Chris.
If you’re able to support, I’d really appreciate it. Every donation, big or small, makes a genuine difference.
Thank you for helping us fight this. Let’s do it for my brother Chris, and for everyone else living with MS.
Thank you x
