Story
My name is John Maldonado Hernandez, and I'm reaching out in desperation. I served my country for eight years in the U.S. Army, including two tours in Iraq with Company C, 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division. The trauma I experienced led to a diagnosis of PTSD, which unfortunately spiraled into a situation that resulted in an assault conviction and my subsequent deportation. Now, I'm stranded in Mexico, completely alone, with no family, no money, and no access to my U.S. bank accounts. I'm a veteran who once dedicated myself to protecting the United States, and now I'm in dire need of help. I'm asking for any support you can offer, hoping to find a way to rebuild my life and perhaps one day return to the country I once called home.
