Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page! I am excited to share that I will be participating in the Vitality London 10,000 on Sunday, 28th September 2025, to raise funds for the incredible work of St John Ambulance in Bromley and Lewisham. This event is a perfect way to conclude Save a Life September!
The funds raised will empower volunteers in Bromley and Lewisham to provide more free first aid training opportunities to the public, schools, youth groups, and community organizations. This year alone, our dedicated volunteers have
- visited Harris Academy Orpington,
- attended the All Saints Church fete, and
- set up pop-up stands at Orpington Tesco and West Wickham Library
as well as other opportunities.
Through these efforts, they have delivered essential training focused on CPR and the use of an AED.
However, there is still much work to be done! Our volunteers are eager to expand their reach and deliver even more training sessions. To do this effectively, we need your support to cover the costs of vital training equipment such as Resusci Anne mannequins, replacement parts, cleaning wipes, and first aid guides.
I have witnessed first hand the life-saving impact that first aid knowledge can have within our community having been involved in 4 cardiac arrests and seeing the difference that early CPR and use of AED can make.
Did you know that currently only 10% of people survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest? With early CPR and the use of an AED, that survival rate can soar to an astonishing 70%!
