I was staggered to learn that there are over 26,000 people who are experiencing homelessness in the East of England right now.

It's why I am taking part in this event to raise money for Hopestead charity to continue on its mission to end homelessness.

One example of what the charity does is to provide home essentials like beds, carpets, washing machines, cookers and fridges to people who have experienced homelessness and are now moving into their new home but have little or no furniture to bring with them.

Hopestead believes everyone deserves a place to call home and I do too.
