Story
In Memory of John Moriarty – Supporting Prostate Cancer & Urology at Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

John Moriarty was an incredible leader, mentor, and friend. He dedicated so much of his life to helping others affected by prostate cancer – whether through surgery, radiotherapy, or hormone therapy – by creating and leading a Prostate Support Group that became a lifeline for so many men and their families.
John was a truly inspirational and genuine gentleman. His warmth, empathy, and generosity touched everyone he met. He welcomed new members with compassion, offered guidance and reassurance at the most difficult times, and inspired us all to face challenges with courage.
Beyond his support work, John was the driving force behind fundraising for the Royal Liverpool University Hospital Charity, ensuring that vital equipment and services could be provided for the Prostate Cancer and Urology Unit. His efforts directly improved the care and outcomes for countless patients.
Those who knew John describe him as:
• “A true legend… irreplaceable as he reached out to so many people in his community.”
• “A fabulous fundraiser who motivated us all to help the cause.”
• “Our Pillar… Our Hope… Our Strength.”
Now, in honour of John’s memory and in recognition of everything he gave, we are continuing his mission.
Our Goal
To raise funds for the Royal Liverpool University Hospital Charity – Prostate Cancer and Urology Unit, supporting pioneering treatments such as robotic prostate surgery and ensuring world-class care for future patients.
