Story
From Newcastle-Under-Lyme to Llangollen, Wales...and back again - taking on 106 miles in the saddle for Dougie Mac!
On Sunday 6 September 2026, customers and staff from John Pass will be joining our Director, Andrew Pass, in taking part in the 106-mile Dougie Mac Bike Ride, to raise money for an incredible local cause.
And we’ve set ourselves a big target:
To raise over £5,000 for Dougie Mac.
The 106-mile route is a serious challenge, requiring plenty of training, determination and a very long day in the saddle – but it’s all in support of a charity that makes an enormous difference to our local community.
Dougie Mac provides specialist care and support for over 3,500 local people living with life-limiting illnesses each year, as well as supporting their families and carers across Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire and the surrounding area.
As a local business, John Pass is proud to sponsor the entire event and to support the team as they take on this challenge and help raise vital funds for Dougie Mac.
Our goal is to raise over £5,000, and every donation – no matter how big or small – will help Dougie Mac continue providing its specialist care and support to local people and their loved ones when they need it most.
If you’d like to get involved with the bike ride, we’d love to hear from you. There’s also still an opportunity to join the John Pass Cycling Team, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
So, while the team takes care of the 106 miles, we’re asking our customers, colleagues, and local community to help us take care of the £5,000 target.
Please donate whatever you can and help us get behind the team and this fantastic local charity.
And if you can’t donate, sharing our page will help us spread the word even further.
106 miles. £5,000. One incredible local cause.
Thank you for supporting the John Pass Team and Dougie Mac.
