We provide specialist nurses to support families affected by dementia

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you can see by my profile photo, this cycling thing dont come easy to me! So I would be extremely grateful for any support towards this good cause. Dementia / Alzeimers is a very tough, uncurable disease that so many people struggle with, often un-noticed with little or no support.

From a personal perspective my mother-in-law has unfortunately been diagnosed with this terrible condition and seeing her rapid decline over just a few short years is extemely sad and it truly affects the whole family, her husband and the community around her.

I have heard of small but signifiant medical breakthroughs over the last 12 months taking positive steps towards supressing this disease, and who knows maybe one day there could be a cure. This disease has quite literally taken a well deserved retirement away from my mother and father in law who have been happily married for over 50 years and any money raised I hope, will assist the charity with their continued good work.
