80 years ago the Royal Marines Association was formed to support around 77,000 RM Commandos who were being demobilised following the end of WW2. The objectives and aims established then remain relevant today.

This year the RMA proudly marks its 80th Anniversary — eight decades of supporting Royal Marines, past and present, and their families.

To honour this milestone, I am raising funds for RMA – The Royal Marines Charity, which provides lifelong support to serving and former Royal Marines, their families, and dependants when they need it most ensure that no Royal Marine family faces hardship alone.

Every calendar month from February to November (10 months) I plan to cover a minimum of 320Km by land and sea (or swimming pool or lake) using a combination of swimming, jogging, yomping and cycling - a total of 3200Km.

Every donation will support the vital work undertaken by the RMA-The Royal Marines Charity, welfare services, comradeship, recovery, and remembrance — preserving the values, spirit, and brotherhood that define the Royal Marines.
