Contented Dementia Trust offers a positive, practical and person centred approach to the care of people with dementia. Training is offered to family, friends and professionals to promote well-being for the person with dementia and their carers 24 hours a day, every day, for life.

Story

The SPECAL method is tailor-made for the condition of dementia.

At the Contented Dementia Trust, we view dementia as a disability and work positively with it using the SPECAL method, rather than trying to ignore or defeat it. Carers and family learn a new way of interacting with the dementia sufferer, which reduces distress and fosters a much more positive atmosphere and outlook.

When the SPECAL method is applied, dementia becomes a disability that can be managed with remarkable success.

The method really works, and the Contented Dementia Trust are so grateful for each and every donation made to them, as this enables their method to reach even more people with dementia who need the help, and more of those that love and care for them.
