The Care Workers Charity, trading as Care Workers Support, supports the basic welfare of current & former retired care workers. As a vulnerable workforce, when life takes a turn for the worse, the Care Workers Charity can provide financial support and guidance to overcome inevitable challenges.

Story

I did it! 100km in under 24 hours — for the people who care for us all 💙

On 24th May, I took on the London2Brighton Ultra Challenge — a continuous 100km walk — and I’m proud (and slightly sore!) to say I completed it in less than 24 hours.

It was one of the toughest things I’ve ever done, but every step was worth it to support The Care Workers’ Charity (CWC) — a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart.

Having worked in social care for many years, I’ve seen the dedication care workers show every single day. Early starts, long hours, and emotionally demanding work are part of the job — but when illness or unexpected hardship hits, it can push them beyond their financial limits. That’s where CWC steps in.

This year alone, the charity has supported 1,242 care workers with over £555,000 in emergency grants, provided free counselling, Mental Health First Aider training, and launched the Care Workers’ Advisory Board to give frontline voices a say in shaping social care.

From the cost-of-living crisis to everyday challenges, CWC is there when care workers need it most — and they can’t do it without your support 💙

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who’s already donated — your support kept me going through the night (and up every hill!). If you haven’t yet and would still like to contribute, it’s not too late. Your donation truly helps those who spend their lives helping others.
