Community Boating Boston is where John got his sailing start. When our family moved to Boston in the mid-60's John saw the sailboats in the Charles River Basin and started learning to sail as soon as he could, at the age of 12. He rode his bike down from our home in Brookline, and spent many happy hours there.

Those early experiences spawned a lifetime love of sailing that shaped his life ever after.

In his last years John lived on Clark's Cove in New Bedford, and was expressing an interest to support the Center there before he passed away. So, we are raising money with this fundraiser for both centers. You can access the New Bedford center on the other link from the main page.
