This fund will direct your donation to the Community Boating Center of New Bedford, Massachusetts. John spent his last years living on Clark's Cove in New Bedford, where he maintained and sailed his sailboat, the Lady V, from a mooring just a block for his home.

He had mentioned his interest in finding a way to support the New Bedford center, in the weeks before he passed away. John always remembered his experience at Community Boating in Boston as a youngster new to sailing, and what a positive impact it had on his entire life.

We are raising money for both centers on this fundraiser. You can find the Boston center on the other link on the main page. We think supporting young sailors in each center is a wonderful way to pay tribute to John's life, which was very much about helping others.
