In October 2022, my family was hit with the devastating news that my sister in law had passed away due to complications with her chemotherapy treatment. She was diagnosed with a rare form of lung cancer, and had fought through it previously and began to start to rebuild her life with her new family. 18months later she was in treatment again, but this time she lost her battle.

I can't begin to explain the impact it has had on our lives. All of us have suffered with losing a wonderful, happy and beautiful young mother / wife / sister (in law) / daughter / friend... the list goes on.. she meant so much to so many.. She was the centre of everything we did and was the life and soul while we did it.

13 of us, 11 from DBS, Graeme King from Bowmer and Kirkland and Jim Dawson from SG lighting have decided to honour her memory by cycling the Coast to Coast cycle route in May this year in the hope that we can raise as much as possible to help in some way towards putting and end to cancer. It affects so many of us now in one way or another, and if we can even help a tiny bit towards its demise, it can only be a good thing.
