I'm taking on the Support Dogs Caving Abseil!

John Wilson is raising money for Support Dogs Ltd
Could YOU take the plunge for Support Dogs? Our annual abseil returns with a brand new location for 2026 - a cave abseil!

Story

Support Dogs is a national charity dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children and adults living with some of the most challenging medical conditions. We train specialist assistance dogs that allow our clients to live a more independent and socially inclusive life. We currently have three different programmes for which our support dogs are trained: autism assistance, physical disability assistance, and epilepsy seizure

My Story

I have volunteered for Support Dogs for the last 5 years as both a Holiday Cover Foster Parent for dogs in training and also on a weekly basis as a driver transporting dogs to and from the training centre…….as I currently don’t have a dog it gives me my dog fix .

From the greetings the dogs give me when I pick them up in the white van and the blue T shirt I know the dogs love to come in to training and once trained I know the impact that they have on beneficiaries and their families lives

As the silly summer season comes to the end I have decided to extend it by doing a challenge of abseiling and pot holing in a cave when………..I am afraid of heights , claustrophobic and only like being in water if it’s warm 😲😳

I have self sponsored for the cost of the event and will cover the Just Giving fees so all other sponsorship goes directly to the charity

If you are able …..please give a little support (pressure) 😁 …….for which I will be grateful.
