Story
We want to raise awareness and funds for the registered charity, SADS UK. It's the UK’s leading cardiac charity for:
Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome.
SADS (UK) provides information, funds research and medical equipment to prevent premature sudden cardiac death.
Sadly, our loving daughter, Paula, died suddenly at her home in Preston, Lancashire in June 2026. She was just forty-two and left two boys aged fifteen and seven.
Paula had lived and worked in Lancashire for almost 20 years and is now greatly missed not only by us, her boys and her partner but by her many friends and her colleagues at Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, whose Headquarters are in Preston.
Paula was born at the Maelor Hospital in March 1984. She was a healthy woman and showed no signs of any illness in the days before she died. She was our only child, and we are devastated by her loss.
We know that we will never get our precious daughter back but, in any way we can, we want to help SADS UK with their work in the areas of Research, Prevention and Emergency care. They work across the UK installing lifesaving Defibrillators, providing CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.
In a nutshell, please help us to raise funds in Paula's memory to combat SADS, a cruel medical phenomenon which has claimed loved ones many of whom were active in sport.
