2025 would have been the year my dad turned 70! Unfortunately, he passed away in 2020 when cancer got a hold of him for the second time.

He attended The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre in 2019 to receive chemotherapy and intense radiotherapy following surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from his tonsils. On 17th April he rang the bell and we prayed he was finally on the road to recovery but in July 2020 we received the heartbreaking news that the cancer had travelled through the lymphatic system and formed a stage 4 tumor on the outside of his lung. This time, there was no treatment available, only pain management and palliative care. His health deteriorated very quickly and we had to say our final goodbye to him in October 2020.

Anyone who knew John Foyer, knew how much of a character he was! He's sorely missed by me, Tiernan, all our family and his friends. So this year, to remember him on what would have been his 70th birthday, I'm trying to raise as much money as possible to help this absolutely amazing charity -
