SNAP is a voluntary organisation based in Inverness. It offers leisure and socialisation opportunites to young people, aged from 5 years old who have a learning disability. SNAP currently offers After School Clubs, Holiday Leisure Schemes, Saturday outings and weekend breaks.

Story

At John Fraser & Son, we are fans of the sterling work of the local charity SNAP (Special Needs Action Project) which assists children and young adults who have additional support needs.

Eight members of our team are training hard for the River Ness 10K Corporate Challenge as part of the Loch Ness Festival of Running. This is out of the comfort zone of the majority of us - but we think raising funds for SNAP will make all the exhaustion and blisters worthwhile!

SNAP runs after school and weekly youth clubs for children and young people who have a learning disability and other complex support needs. The charity also organises holiday leisure schemes and weekend breaks which are not only beneficial to the attendees, but allow invaluable time off for parents, carers and siblings. SNAP clubs are full of fun and opportunities to try new activities and build friendships, but they also encourage independence and education - all within a creative, supportive environment.

Any donation you can make to our fundraising will spur us on, and of course make an enormous difference to local families who benefit so much from SNAP support.
