St Richard’s Hospice is an independent charity offering free, expert care for adults with an illness that cannot be cured, and support for their loved ones and carers. Each year the hospice team supports more than 3,100 patients, family members and bereaved people in Worcestershire.

Story

Ian and Simon have decided to take on The Fan Dance in Dad’s memory on 6th July 2024 to raise funds for St Richards Hospice who cared for their Dad, John Newell, before he sadly passed away in August 2023.

The Fan Dance is the infamous 24km run taken on by potential members of British Special Forces as part of their selection process. It is to be completed within a set cut-off time, over both sides of Pen y Fan mountain in the Brecon Beacons, all whilst carrying a bergen weighing over 25lb.

We want other patients and families to be able to receive the amazing care and support that we did in the most difficult of circumstances, but they can only do that through donations.

If you can, please give what you can x

As Dad would say “You must be mad !”
