Gower Peninsula Ultra Challenge 2026 · 18 July 2026 to 19 July 2026 ·

The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, situated in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow, exists to help our patients achieve the best quality of life possible in whatever time remains for them. Where it may not be possible to add days to lives, we aim to add life to days for patients and their families.

Story

Hi,

I’m doing my first ever fundraiser…and first ever (and last) 100km walk…in memory of my wonderful Mum, Mae Cavani, who passed away last month.

I’m raising funds for the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow, where Mum was cared for so well by the amazing staff. The whole family are so grateful for the compassion and support that was given to Mum and to us all.

Rather than do something fun, like a skydive, for some reason I’ve chosen to do the Gower Ultra Challenge, which will involve me trying to walk 100km in 24 hours (give or take). I promise, if I reach my target, I’ll finish the course no matter how long it takes!

If you are able to and would like to support this wonderful charity please give anything you can.

Many thanks,

JC
