Story
It started with a humble leaflet dropped through a letterbox. “Anyone want to take part in a half-marathon hike for a good cause?” Rob asked.
The next moment, four men from John Perkins Construction had agreed to risk life and limb in the Wye Valley on 9 September 2023.
By “risk life and limb”, we mean “suffer mild sunburn and probably a lot of blisters”, but who knows? Maybe we’ll be forced to fend off an attack by the Wye Valley Lesser-Spotted Leopard along the way.
Please consider supporting the “crazy gang” from John Perkins Construction – Rob Yeandle, Ian Williams, Darren Scrase, and Dave Wildey – as we take part in the Wye Valley Mighty Hike.
It’ll be a long 13 miles (the rumour is that the Wye Valley contains a lot of hills), but we’re thrilled to be raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support. It’s a fantastic cause, and we want to do our bit to help.
We know it’ll be hard – you’ll be shocked to hear that none of us are elite athletes – but we’re up to the challenge. We know we can do it if we have your support.
These are difficult and uncertain times, but every donation (big or small) helps us to reach our fundraising target. Every penny can make a difference in aiding the tremendously important work of Macmillan Cancer Support.
