Story
£25.
That is the amount it costs to provide expert supervision on a potentially life-saving call when people reach out the incredible mental health charity Shout.
As we approach the most critical period for mental health — the dark winter months — I am asking you to be on of 100 people who can help provide this support.
And here’s why you might choose do this through my fundraiser…
For me, 2025 has been completely focused on my mission to hitchhike across continents to raise money for the mental health organisation, Shout.
So far, the challenge has taken me 24,000km, across 30 countries and as far as eastern Kazakhstan.
To close out a gruelling but unforgettable year, I am hitchhiking to the Arctic in the dead of winter. This challenge will take me from Glasgow, my home in Scotland, all the way to Nordkapp -- the marker for the top of Europe in Norway's Arctic region.
Still 1,500kms south, I am already battling intense snow storms, barely existent daylight hours and extreme temperatures. But, I am ready to make the most of the experience, and use this as an opportunity to raise as much money to support the life-saving work that Shout perform around the clock. I am especially committed to this, as I know that their service will be so vital as we head deeper into the winter which is the time when we all are most vulnerable to being effected by mental health crises.
Thank you for your support, John x
