I'm Racing for Refugees because I believe that everyone deserves safety, dignity and hope for the future. But for far too many refugees, this is the last thing they are greeted with when they arrive in the UK.

Refugee Action exists to defend the right to safety that we all share. They’re fighting the hostility that has a devastating, daily impact on refugees. I'm joining them in the fight for people seeking safety to have the support and opportunities to thrive, not just survive. I have become increasingly concerned by politicians using divisive language, which is encouraging hate and mistrust. As a country we should be supporting people who are not as fortunate as us. I plan to complete 100,000 steps (hopefully more) from now until the end of September, walking along the wonderful North Norfolk coast. My wife and I have lived and worked in both Vietnam and the USA and we have always been made to feel very welcome.
