Hi - I’m Jon, and following several conversations over the last couple of years with my extremely persuasive sister-in-law, I’ve signed up for the Swansea 70.3 Half Ironman Triathlon on 12th July 2026. I turn 50 later this year, so it feels like the perfect time to try something a little different and to raise some money for an extremely good cause in the process.

I’m taking on this challenge to raise money for Alive, a brilliant Bristol based charity that means a lot to me and my family. My awesome wife, Jen, works for Alive, so I’ve seen first hand just how much passion, energy and creativity goes into their work. It’s the kind of work that quietly transforms someone’s day, and often goes unnoticed.

Alive is small enough that every donation genuinely makes a difference, but big enough to have a real impact across my home city of Bristol. If you’re able to support them, I’d be hugely grateful. And if nothing else, you’ll know your generosity is helping a great cause while I’m swimming (1.9k), cycling (80k) and running (21k - half marathon) my way through a very long Sunday in July...
