For the benefit, the relief and assistance of the public, specifically families in need of support when their children are diagnosed with cancer, in any part of the UK, who require financial aid and advice, by providing them with medical expenses/advice, housing support, travel expenses, fundraising advice/support and guidance with any other issues that arise as a direct result of their child’s diagnoses. The long term goal of the charity will be to fund medical treatment currently unavailable in the UK, extending options for life expectancy, and funding future medical research to increase survival rates.

Story

Hi

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.

Those that know me know that my daughter Ellie just 11 at the time was diagnosed in March 22 with stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. After completing her treatment she unfortunately relapsed in October but thankfully since then she went through her treatment like a trooper and has now been in remission since September 23.

Throughout it we were supported by a local amazing charity called my shining star. Which is a charity that supports families and children through childhood cancer.

They don’t get no government funding and every penny raised speaking from experience really does make a difference to a family in need at their worst time possible.

I’m running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise funds for them so that it can make a difference to another family in there time in need.

it really is a big challenge for me so every penny raised will give me that motivation to keep going when my legs are getting heavy.
