On the 22nd of June I plan to ride 101 miles off road across the length of the South Downs Way, which is over 12,600 feet (3800m) of climbing, to raise vital funds for the Olive Tree.

The Olive Tree Cancer Support Group is a small (but mighty) independent self-funding charity. The charity receive no statutory funding they rely on the generosity of others, plus grant applications, which are often not successful.

If you would like to help them continue to provide services, such as one to one counselling, complementary therapies, workshops, support groups and gentle exercise classes, to cancer patients, their families and carers please do give generously.

The Olive Tree has been there for my family over the last 11 years since Charlotte's diagnosis. as well as supporting friends who have also been diagnosed with cancer.

My goal is to complete the ride in under 10 hours, which will be a real challenge. A couple of years ago I managed to complete the ride in around 11 hours, before that it took me 16 hours.
